Building Surveys

This type of survey is suitable for all types of commercial & industrial property whether it be a freehold purchase or the undertaking of a new lease.

We are able to advise clients on the expectations and objectives of a survey at an early stage with this in mind, the survey report can be tailored to a specific property, looking at individual items as required by the prospective purchaser or the prospective in-going tenant.

The building survey itself is an investigation and assessment of the construction and condition of the building and would not normally include advice on value.  The survey will include the structure, fabric, finishes and grounds but the exposure and testing of services is not usually covered.

The survey report will include reference to visible defects and guidance as appropriate on maintenance and remedial measures if required by the client.

The survey may also comment on if the building in question complies with new or relevant legislation, such as Health & Safety, Fire Precautions and Disability Discrimination Act for example; and if any remedial works are required we are also able to advise the client accordingly.
