	Adam Elwell-Director BSc MRICS
	Adam started the business with Nicholas Taylor in 2002, having worked in both commercial and residential property in Chelmsford since 1985. He undertakes commercial agency, rent reviews, lease renewals, property management, valuations and is a specialist rating adviser. His knowledge of the area is second to none. His hobbies include golf, badminton and chess and he is a keen football supporter. He has also finished three London Marathons for various local charities.

	Nicholas started the business with Adam Elwell in 2002, having worked both locally and in the City since 1996. He deals with all aspects of building surveying and his specialities are project management and dilapidations. He is a keen Chelmsford City supporter and also enjoys cycling and gardening

	Matthew Turner-Surveyor BSc (Hons) MRICS
	Matthew joined elwell taylor in 2005 and qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2007. He deals with commercial agency, rent reviews & lease renewals, property management and valuations. In his spare time he enjoys football, cooking, socialising and running.

	Helen Hancy-Residential Sales & Lettings manager
	Helen joined elwell taylor in 2007 having previously worked in Country Homes for a regional estate agency, for a new build homes developer and as a manager for a team of people for a property company abroad. She manages both the residential sales and lettings departments. In her spare time Helen enjoys Pilates, Step Aerobics, playing tennis, walking, reading, being with her family and friends and of course, the odd good night out dancing and letting her hair down.

	Nicholas Truelove-Senior Surveyor BSc (Hons) MRICS
	Nicholas is a Chartered Building Surveyor with broad experience in the Property Industry and in all aspects of Building Surveying gained through key roles on small and large developments for a wide range of private and commercial clients. Nicholas has particular knowledge of defect investigation and analysis, repair and maintenance works, refurbishment, new build projects and Party Wall matters. Recent roles have involved working with retail, fund managers and education sector clients. Nicholas is regularly involved in Contract Administration and Employers Agent roles. He is also involved in the preparation and management of Planned Maintenance Programmes, Building Surveys, Schedules of Condition/Dilapidation and Party Wall Matters.

	Douglas Balch-Consultant Surveyor FRICS
	Douglas Balch is one of the most experienced surveyors in Chelmsford. His expertise covers residential surveys & valuations, property management and Landlord & Tenant matters. Douglas joined Elwell Taylor as a consultant when Balch & Balch merged with Elwell Taylor in December 2010.

	Lyn Shippen-Office Manager
	Lyn joined elwell taylor in 2008. She has extensive experience in surveying and commercial property having worked in the industry in Chelmsford since 1987. Lyn's hobbies include cooking, reading and Salsa.

	Peter Lynn-Senior Negotiator
	Peter has worked locally for many years for one of the country’s largest Estate Agent’s as a Senior Negotiator and a Land Manager working closely with developers. His focus within the company is to deliver a high standard of customer care, for both our Vendors and Purchasers alike. In his spare time Peter is a keen Football supporter.

	Natasha Tyler-Graduate Surveyor
	Natasha has recently joined Elwell Taylor as a Graduate Surveyor from Anglia Ruskin University. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with her friends, musib and is a keen snowboarder.

	Shirley Pitt-Secretary
	Shirley is an experienced and valued member of staff having worked with Douglas Balch for many years. her hobbies include all racket sports i.e. tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis, organising a "just for fun" volleyball club, pub quizzes, going to pop and rock concerts and to the theatre, dining out and living life to the full.
